About

Evan Paul, somatic bodyworker and environmental designer in Nicasio, California

I'm a bodyworker, an artist, and a sensitive listener.

My obsession with understanding how things work eventually led me to the nervous system—that magical, tree-like structure running through our bodies and somehow reaching beyond them. It is our connection to the world.

I see us as nexus points embedded in a web. Touch is a sacred gateway where two bodies gain direct access to the feedback loops that unite us. Through this lens, I listen to bodies to help them let go. I listen to spaces and materials to make environments that welcome sensitive systems.

My formal education includes a BA in Philosophy & Economics from Binghamton University, an AA in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of New York, and bodywork training at Arcata School of Massage. The latter two have since shut down—I like to think I absorbed all they had to offer.

Beyond the degrees, I've spent years in meditation practice and vipassana retreats, over twenty years of yoga, and countless workshops and books. The hunger for learning only seems to grow, and I've been told my enthusiasm and curiosity are contagious.

If any of this resonates, I'd welcome a conversation.

I'm based in Nicasio, California.
